Fly to You

sunset_passenger_plane-t3

I fly to you; I can think of nothing but you –
I wonder, why would she care about me?
Instead of sleeping, I sit here, working it out…

The day we met I’ll remember forever; like a brand… seared into my memory –
Your smile flares my soul, your eyes burn though me, your voice fills me with warmth –

This is IMPOSSIBLE I say to myself! Get out of my head…. And for a couple of years I watch your hardships, and wish I could stand with you.

And then the universe catches fire, you transfix me; we sit eye to eye, shoulder to shoulder; and the gates of passion open with love…

Maybe I’ll never know why, but I am the luckiest man alive!

The Flight

delay

It was a quarter to seven, I was dreaming of heaven
When the big airplane left
Yes we were late, but we sat at the gate
Enduring some god-awful wait

When it finally ignited, we flew like United
Hoping to make up the time
And now my connecting, might be affecting
My flight to your loving arms

But fear not my dear, there’s always good cheer
We’ll make it in the end
No matter the fight, I’ll make the next flight
And be with you in the end!
